Helldivers 2 Bestiary: Devastator, Automaton, Scout Spider... Which opponent is today's challenge?

In Helldivers II, you will sometimes need to eliminate a certain type of enemy in particular to complete the daily challenge. Unfortunately, the game does not offer a bestiary accessible in the middle of the game. We invite you to find out what all the names of the opponents in the game correspond to.

Helldivers II Bestiary: All Terminides

Scavenger Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Scavenger Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

The Scavenger (or Scavenger in the original version) is probably the Terminide that you will encounter most often in your missions. They generally move in groups but you will not have the slightest difficulty in eliminating them as they are weak. Be careful, however, not to let yourself be overwhelmed, and above all to eliminate them as quickly as possible before they call for reinforcements. If you see a Scavenger screaming and releasing orange spores , eliminate it immediately to interrupt its call. Note that Scavengers can sometimes have acid attacks that they can launch from a distance.

Warrior Helldivers II: what does he look like and where to find him?

Warrior Helldivers II: what does he look like and where to find him

You will have no trouble finding Warriors on any planet occupied by the Terminides. Although they are a little more powerful than the Scavengers, they can only attack in close combat and do not have any armor. Aim for their heads to eliminate them quickly, but be careful, most Terminides can continue to live for a few seconds even after losing this part of their body.

Hunter Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Hunter Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Hunters are also among the most common Terminides in the game. If you don't come across many of them in your games , try to climb the difficulty a little, they should easily reach levels 4 or 5. They generally travel in groups and have the particularity of being able to jump on you from a long distance. They have no particular armor, so you will have no trouble killing them as long as you manage to hit them.

Helldivers II Stalker: what does it look like and where to find it?

Helldivers II Stalker: what does it look like and where to find it

The Stalker is one of the special Terminides which is not present in each mission of Helldivers II . To encounter them, play at least on difficulty 4 and do missions in the planets occupied by the Terminides until you spot insects with the ability to camouflage themselves and become almost invisible. Be careful, they can also jump great distances to escape if you start to attack them. They have no armor, but are quite durable. Note that the presence of Lurkers in your games necessarily means that a Lurker's Den is located somewhere in the mission area. Destroy it to prevent these creatures from reappearing.

Corrosive Slurper (Bile Spewer) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Corrosive Slurper (Bile Spewer) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

The Corrosive Slobber ( Bile Spewer in original version) is one of the special Terminides which is not present in each mission of Helldivers II. To encounter them, play at least on difficulty 4 and do missions in the planets occupied by the Terminides until you spot huge insects equipped with bile bags. Be very careful with them, a simple spit in the face could eliminate you in one hit. They also exist in two versions (orange and green), and the second can shoot at you from a much greater distance. To eliminate them, we advise you to focus on their head rather than the large bile sac. In fact, it only takes a few shots to the head to make it explode, while the pocket is much more resistant. Also take note that Corrosive Drools secrete a mist around them that hinders your vision but disappears upon dying.

Helldivers II Charger: what does it look like and where to find it?

Helldivers II Charger: what does it look like and where to find it

You'll find Chargers in just about any operation on a Terminid-occupied planet. If you want to face them for sure, don't hesitate to climb the difficulty levels, you will end up regretting having had such an idea when three or four chargers rush at you at the same time. To eliminate them, the easiest way is to concentrate on its tail (the rest of the body being heavily armored).

Commander (Brood Commander) Helldivers II: what does he look like and where to find him?

Commander (Brood Commander) Helldivers II: what does he look like and where to find him

Brood Commanders are elite Terminides who may cause you some problems if you don't eliminate them quickly . You will come across them quite regularly provided you play at slightly higher difficulties, but you will be able to face them from level 4. Commanders are improved versions of Warriors. They go faster, hurt a lot more and last longer, although they still don't have any armor. If you blow their heads off, they will stay alive longer than all the other Terminids. Don't hesitate to calm them down by continuing to shoot.

Corrosive Titan (Bile Titan) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Corrosive Titan (Bile Titan) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

The Corrosive Titan ( Bile Titan in original version) is certainly the most formidable enemy of all the Terminides . At low levels, you will only come across them if they correspond to your main objective. From level 7, on the other hand, you can find them around any objective, or worse: in any reinforcement called by other Terminides. To eliminate them, concentrate your shots on his ventral area... or send your best orbital strikes directly at him.

Helldivers II Bestiary: all Automatons

Infantryman, commando and marauder (Trooper, Raider, Marauder) Helldivers II: what do they look like and where to find them?

Infantryman, commando and marauder (Trooper, Raider, Marauder) Helldivers II

The basic adversaries that constitute the Automatons army are the Infantrymen, Commandos and Marauders ( Trooper, Raider, Marauder in original version). You will find them absolutely everywhere on any planet occupied by the Automatons, regardless of the difficulty chosen. They have no special armor, but can all fire from a distance using their laser weapons or rocket launchers. We also advise you to eliminate those equipped with explosive weapons first, they could eliminate you more easily than the others. Furthermore, all Infantrymen, Commandos and Marauders can call for reinforcements if you don't eliminate them quickly enough. As soon as you see a robot using a red light towards the sky, destroy it as quickly as possible.

Commissioner Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Commissioner Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

You will find Commissioners ( Commissar in original version) in all the planets occupied by the Automatons, whatever the difficulty chosen. You will easily recognize them thanks to their arms equipped with orange blades. Don't hesitate to eliminate them with a short-range weapon to avoid being attacked. Note that they are not equipped with any armor but that they resist bullets quite well by protecting themselves with their blades.

Scout Strider Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Scout Strider Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

Contrary to what their name may suggest, the Scout Striders are indeed members of the Automatons army. If you have already seen Star Wars, you will easily recognize them thanks to their shape strongly resembling the AT-STs of the Galactic Empire. Unlike the machines in Star Wars, those in Helldivers II do not fully protect their pilot. To eliminate them, go around these opponents and eliminate the robot at the back of the cannon. The machine itself is armored, but its pilot is not. If you prefer to stay from the front, a shot from the RS-422 Electromagnetic Rifle will easily take it out.

Berserker Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Berserker Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

While the Commissioners shouldn't give you much trouble, the Berserkers could easily remind you that you're not in allied territory. Larger and more durable than basic Automatons, Berserkers are easily recognizable thanks to the two enormous chainsaws that serve as their arms. If you let them touch you, you may not survive very long. To eliminate them, we advise you to either aim at their skull or aim between their legs . Believe it or not, this is also a weak point for our robot friends, especially if you go at it with a shotgun.

Devastator Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Devastator Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

If you didn't like Rocket Infantrymen, you'll hate Devastators ! As large and resistant as the Berserkers, these Automatons however choose to stay at a distance and bombard you with rockets thanks to the two enormous rocket launchers placed on their shoulders. Good news: if the latter are often the bearers of death, this is also true for the Devastators themselves. In fact, you just need to shoot straight into their rocket launchers to eliminate them quite easily. Be careful, they explode when they die.

Colossus (Hulk) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it?

Colossus (Hulk) Helldivers II: what does it look like and where to find it

Heavily armored, heavily equipped, the Colossi ( Hulk in original version) live up to their name and are likely to be quite a challenge for any Helldiver. At low difficulty, you will rarely encounter them, usually as a main objective. From level 4 onwards, however, you might come across them a little more often. You will easily recognize them by their compact but very resistant shape and thanks to their two enormous cannons at the end of their arms. Depending on the game, the Colossi can fire rockets, laser shots or flames. To take them out, you'll need to use heavy armor-piercing weapons (like the RS-422 Electromagnetic Rifle or GR-8 Recoilless Rifle ) or various orbital strikes. Note that, like the Terminid Chargers, it has a weak point in its back that you can reach if you manage to get around it.

Helldivers II tank: what does it look like and where to find it?

Helldivers II tank: what does it look like and where to find it

Like the Corrosive Titan among the Terminides, the Tank is certainly the centerpiece of the Automatons army . You'll only encounter them if you're playing on higher difficulties, and they could take you out in just a few seconds. Heavily armored, we advise you to use your best orbital strikes to defeat them. Note that you can also use weapons that pierce heavy armor, but this may be more dangerous and take longer. Be careful, at high level, Tanks can be dropped like any reinforcement.

Helldivers II Dropship: What does it look like and where to find it?

Helldivers II Dropship: What does it look like and where to find it

While the Terminides arrive directly from the ground, reinforcements for the Automatons generally arrive from the sky thanks to Troop Ships ( Dropship in original language). These adversaries are very particular because they only arrive in the event of reinforcements and do not have the slightest attack capacity. When called, they arrive from the sky, drop Automatons, then leave without attacking you. However, it is possible to take them out if you unleash huge firepower as quickly as possible. Also note that certain secondary objectives allow you to activate surface-to-air missiles to destroy nearby troop ships more easily.
