The year 2024 and especially the month of February promises to be rich in anticipated games, including Helldivers 2, a third-person shooter playable in cooperation. Helldivers 2 is now available on Thursday, February 8 on PC and PS5.
However, as with many online games, some players sometimes encounter bugs, including one involving the inability to join a game room created by a friend or another player. We tell you how to solve it.
How to resolve the issue of not being able to join a lobby in Helldivers 2?
If, like some players, you are unable to join a game room and you receive an error message, well, you should already know that the developers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. This inability to connect to other players can be explained by problems with the game's servers.
In case this happens to you, there are two solutions which have been given by certain players and relayed by IGN. So here are the two ways that can resolve your connection bug.
Disable crossplay and set to friends only
Disabling crossplay and setting player search privacy to friends only fixed the issue for quite a few players and here's what you need to do:
- “ Pause ” the game and go to the “ Settings ” tab
- In the “ Gameplay ” section, go to Crossplay
- Click No to disable crossplay
- Then change the “Player search privacy” part to Friends only, because it’s basically on the Public
- Save your changes
- Restart the game
