How to improve life and resistance?

How to improve life and resistance

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link's life and stamina can be increased in exactly the same way as was done in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, that is, by completing Shrines and then giving him luminous orbs. to the statues of the goddess:

  • For each Shrine you complete you will receive a glowing orb at the end.
  • For every 4 glowing orbs, you can exchange them for a heart container or a fraction of a resistance circle.
  • The orbs must be delivered by praying at a statue of the goddess.
  • In this game, Link can have a maximum of 30 hearts and 3 full stamina circles.
Please note that this is the only method to permanently increase Link's health or stamina. While certain elixirs or food can temporarily increase the hero's number of hearts or stamina bar, this has a finite effect.

On the other hand, it should be noted that Link can still earn new hearts by advancing in the main story of the game and defeating certain final bosses, which will leave a new heart container as a reward.

Where to find statues of the goddess?

As we have said, the luminous orbs that you obtain in Sanctuaries must be taken to the statues of the goddess in Hyrule to be able to spend them, which have the following characteristic appearance:

Shortly after starting to play you will necessarily find a first statue in the Temple of Time on the Great Island of Dawn, and later on the surface of the kingdom you can find one very easily if you visit the Underground Shelter of the Vigil Fort, located at the south of the castle, in the center of the map.

Of course, there are many more statues scattered around the world, such as in the Arkadia village and other iconic locations, but you can use this statue that we tell you about the shelter as a reference to exchange your first luminous orbs comfortably.

What to choose: Hearts or stamina?

Since you are allowed to choose between increasing hearts or stamina every 4 orbs, you may be wondering which is better to increase first. Actually, this answer is more up to your discretion.

  • Maybe if you suffer a lot fighting enemies you might want to quickly increase your hearts to be able to endure each battle better.
  • If you are a player who loves to explore and get lost in every corner, you will definitely want to increase Link's stamina circles so that he can climb or fly for longer.
  • On the other hand, you can also increase each stat little by little to be more balanced.

In short, think carefully about which factor you are most interested in prioritizing and act accordingly according to your playing style.

How to exchange heart and stamina containers?

If you've played Breath of the Wild before, you may know that in that game it was possible to exchange heart containers for stamina containers and vice versa, and that was done through a warlock statue that had horns.

Well, in Tears of the Kingdom, this special statue is available again, but now it is in a different location than Hyrule. To unlock it you have to take the following into account:

  • You will be able to find the evil statue in the Watch Fort only when you have progressed far enough in the main story.
  • At some point, a secondary adventure titled Find Out Whose Voice It Is will be available in the Fort Lookout shelter.
  • Talk to Zheline to accept this adventure, which consists of entering the Royal Family Passage that the woman has opened in the shelter.
  • Break the rocks on the right as soon as you enter this passage and you will find the evil statue.
How to exchange heart and stamina containers

By finding this statue you also receive the side quest Pact with the Statue , in which the statue itself explains how the container exchange works. Basically, you can offer him one of your containers to receive 100 rupees and then buy it back from him for 120 rupees .

In turn, when you buy a container from the statue again, what it allows you to do is exchange your heart containers for a resistance container or vice versa. Now you know where it is in case you need to do it.
