Weapons in Valheim

Peace Valheim is fraught with many dangers and threats. You will have to fight a lot, so it is worth taking care of choosing the right weapon that will help in battles both with ordinary opponents and with bosses .


How to create a weapon?

To craft weapons, you need resources and a workbench. Please note that different recipes require different workbench levels. If you don't know how to improve a workbench, we recommend that you read our guide on this topic.


Upgrading weapons

You can improve the parameters of your weapon. To do this, open the update tab on your workbench. The maximum upgrade level is 4.


Bow

The main representative of long-range weapons. Slightly slow down the character (by 5%). The damage depends not only on the bow itself, but also on the arrows used.


Bow

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (10 pcs.), Leather scraps (8 pcs.).


Good bow

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Solid wood (10 pcs.), Deer skin (2 pcs.).


Hunter bow

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Crafting resources: quality wood (10 pcs.), Iron (20 pcs.), Feathers (10 pcs.), Deer hide (2 pcs.).


Draug's Fang

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: Ancient bark (10 pcs.), Silver (20 pcs.), Deer hide (2 pcs.), Slime (10 pcs.).


Regular arrows

Normal arrows without attack modifiers.

Wooden arrow

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.).

Arrow with silicon tip

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Flint (2 pcs.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Arrow with bronze tip

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Bronze (1 pc.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Arrow with an iron tip

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Iron (1 pc.).

Obsidian Arrow

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Obsidian (4 pcs.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Needle arrow

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Resources for crafting: needle (4 pcs.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Arrows with Attack Modifiers

Arrows with additional damage from fire, ice, poison and other elements.

Firebolt

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Resin (8 pcs.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Ice arrow

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Crafting Resources: Wood (8), Obsidian (4), Feathers (2), Frost Iron (1).

Poisoned arrow

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Obsidian (4 pcs.), Feathers (2 pcs.), Goo (2 pcs.).

Silver arrow

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (8 pcs.), Silver (1 pc.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

A spear

One-handed weapon that deals piercing damage. Slightly slows down the character (by 5%). Please note that you cannot parry attacks with spears, so try to use them together with shields with a parry parameter.

Flint spear

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (5 pcs.), Silver (1 pc.), Feathers (2 pcs.).

Bronze spear

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (5 pcs.), Bronze (6 pcs.), Deer skin (2 pcs.).

Ancient bark spear

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Crafting Resources: Ancient Bark (10), Iron (6), Troll Skin (2).

Wolf Fang Spear

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Crafting Resources: Ancient Bark (10), Wolf Fang (4), Leather Scraps (2), Silver (2).

Halberd

Two-handed weapon that deals piercing damage. Slightly slows down the character (by 10%), has good parry rates.

Bronze halberd

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (10 pcs.), Bronze (8 pcs.), Leather scraps (2 pcs.).

Iron halberd

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (10 pcs.), Iron (30 pcs.), Leather scraps (2 pcs.).

Black metal halberd

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Ferrous metal (30 pcs.), Linen thread (5 pcs.).

One-handed axe

Deals cutting damage. Slightly slows down the character (by 5%), has good knockback values.

Stone axe

  • Workbench Level: Not Required.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (5 pcs.), Stone (4 pcs.).

Flint Axe

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (4 pcs.), Flint (6 pcs.).

Bronze axe

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (4 pcs.), Bronze (8 pcs.), Leather scraps (2 pcs.).

Iron axe

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Crafting Resources: Wood (4), Iron (20), Leather Scraps (2).

Black metal axe

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (6 pcs.), Ferrous metal (20 pcs.), Linen thread (5 pcs.).

Two-handed axe

Deals cutting damage. Perceptibly slows down the character (by 20%). Has good parry performance.

Battle axe

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Crafting Resources: Ancient Bark (30), Iron (35), Scraps of Leather (4).

Mace

One-handed weapon that deals stun / piercing damage. Slightly slows down the character (by 5%), has high knockback rates.

Dubina

  • Workbench Level: Not Required.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (6 pcs.).

Bronze mace

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (4 pcs.), Bronze (8 pcs.), Leather scraps (3 pcs.).

Iron mace

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (4 pcs.), Iron (20 pcs.), Leather scraps (3 pcs.).

Porcupine

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Crafting resources: quality wood (5 pcs.), Iron (20 pcs.), Needle (5 pcs.), Linen thread (3 pcs.).

Silver mace

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Crafting Resources: Ancient Bark (10), Silver (30), Ymir's Flesh (5), Frost Iron (5).

Two-handed hammer

The slowest weapon in the game, it deals stun damage. Slows down the character significantly (by 20%), has the highest knockback rate.

Olenemore

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Crafting Resources: Solid Wood (20), Deer Trophy (5), Leather Scraps (2).

Iron sledgehammer

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Crafting Resources: Ancient Bark (10), Iron (30), Ymir's Flesh (4), Elite Draug Trophy (1).

Sword

One-handed weapon with slashing damage. Slightly slows down the character (by 5%).

Bronze sword

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (2 pcs.), Bronze (8 pcs.), Leather scraps (2 pcs.).

an iron sword

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (2 pcs.), Iron (20 pcs.), Leather scraps (3 pcs.).

Silver sword

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (2 pcs.), Silver (40 pcs.), Leather scraps (3 pcs.), Iron (5 pcs.).

Black metal sword

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (2 pcs.), Ferrous metal (20 pcs.), Linen thread (5 pcs.).

Knife

One-handed weapon, used for stealth attacks, deals piercing and cutting damage. Doesn't slow down the character. Has the largest backstab modifier (x10).

Flint knife

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (2 pcs.), Flint (4 pcs.), Leather scraps (2 pcs.).

Copper knife

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (2 pcs.), Copper (8 pcs.).

Blade from the abyss

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Crafting Resources: Quality Wood (4), Chitin (20), Leather Scraps (2)

Black metal knife

  • Workbench level: 4.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (4 pcs.), Ferrous metal (10 pcs.), Linen thread (5 pcs.).

Shield

Allows to block / parry attacks, can significantly slow down the character (from 5 to 20%).

Wooden shield

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (10 pcs.), Resin (4 pcs.), Leather scraps (4 pcs.).

Wooden tower shield

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: wood (10 pcs.), Leather scraps (6 pcs.).

Bronze Round Shield

  • Workbench level: 1.
  • Resources for crafting: bronze (10 pcs.), Wood (4 pcs.).

Reinforced Shield

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Iron (8 pcs.).

Iron tower shield

  • Workbench level: 2.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (15 pcs.), Iron (10 pcs.).

Serpentine shield

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Iron (4 pcs.), Snake scales (8 pcs.).

Silver Shield

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Silver (8 pcs.).

Black metal shield

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (10 pcs.), Ferrous metal (8 pcs.), Chain (5 pcs.).

Black metal tower shield

  • Workbench level: 3.
  • Resources for crafting: quality wood (15 pcs.), Ferrous metal (10 pcs.), Chain (7 pcs.).

Abyssal Harpoon
