Where to find and how to get unusual, rare and unique trophies from the infected in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Exploring the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you can find useful resources and money, as well as "Trophies of the Infected" from the dead. At first, it may seem that such production is needed only to earn in-game currency, but it has another purpose. In this guide, we will tell you why we need trophies of the infected, what rarity they are and how to get them in the open world.

Why do we need "Trophies from the infected"

First of all, trophies from the infected are needed to improve various drawings from the master craftsman. With their help, you can increase the level of crafted consumables (Molotov cocktail, mine, medicine, and amplifiers), as well as modifications for weapons. More information about repairing and upgrading weapons can be found in this guide.

These trophies are of three types:

  1. Unusual.
  2. Rare.
  3. Unique.

Each resource drops from a certain type of undead. Getting high rarity trophies is quite difficult since for this you will have to go down to the "Dark Spaces" or increase the level of the "Chasing" at night.

How to find Uncommon Infected Trophies

Unusual trophies are the easiest to find - under the cover of night, they fall out of almost all the ghouls that can be found on the streets of the city. This is due to the fact that the necessary infected wake up and leave the buildings. Here is a list of required zombies for trophies:

  • Infected: normal dead don't drop these trophies, you need to kill the undead without clothes with mutilated skin;
  • Weeper: You will be introduced to these enemies when you first meet Hakon. Screamers are very weak, but they can call their relatives for help and activate the Chase;
  • Spitter: Another type of monster that first appears in the tunnels on the way to the base of peacekeepers. They attack from a distance but are practically harmless up close.

The fastest way to collect a large number of unusual loot is to wait until night and activate the Chase at any safe zone. To do this, you need to get close enough to the mourner and wait for the cry. When this happens, return to the safe area and position yourself so that the infected cannot reach you due to the UV torches. Kill as many enemies as you need, and then collect trophies from the corpses.

How to find "Rare loot from the infected"

List of mutants, upon killing which you will receive resources:

  • Brute: these monsters can be found on the streets of the city at any time of the day. They are very strong, but slow, so in a fight with them it is better to use a bow or throwing objects (mines, explosives, Molotov cocktails);
  • Runner: rare creatures that are found only at night. When they go hunting, a corresponding icon appears on the map. You just have to get to the place, catch and kill the runner. It is to catch, as the ghoul will begin to run away from you at full speed;
  • Banshee: According to the story, he is encountered only a few times per game. You will first see a dead man at the radio tower when you try to open the garage door;
  • Infrequently rare trophies can be found when killing mourners and spitters.

There is no quick way to collect a large number of rare trophies. Explore dark zones, anomalies and kill the above enemies.

How to find "Unique trophies from the infected"

The most valuable resources come from the following infected:

  • Revenant: The mutant lives only in "HM anomalies". To combat it, it is best to use a bow with reinforced arrows. How to craft different types of arrows, we told in this guide;
  • Destroyer: These monsters are bigger and stronger than Brute, but are only found in Dark Spaces. Since the enemies are slow, use ranged weapons against them;
  • Leaper: The strongest critters that will kill you with just a few hits. Finding them is not difficult, jumpers are hiding in almost all dark zones and in the centers of the study of the VGM. They also appear on the fourth level of the Chase. If there is only one enemy, then you can try to defeat him. But we would not recommend fighting a couple of jumpers at once - this will definitely lead to the death of the main character.

As well as with rare resources, it will not be possible to quickly collect unique trophies from the infected. This is due to the high difficulty of the enemies that drop these materials.
