Where to find and how to get a hook, paraglider, bow and crossbow in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Dying Light 2 is a continuation of the first-person action game with hand-to-hand fights and parkour. In order to survive, you will need not only various weapons but also tools for easy movement in the open world. In this guide, we will tell you where you can find a grappling hook, a paraglider, a bow, and a crossbow.

How to get the hook in Dying Light 2

The hook allows you to climb onto the roofs of houses. In addition, with it you can make long jumps between buildings, which will make it easier to move around the open world of the game.

You will receive this useful tool as you progress through the "Broadcast" story mission. You won’t pass by - without a hook, you simply won’t be able to complete the task. Unfortunately, this will not happen at the very beginning of the passage - the desired mission will be available at about the fifteenth hour of the game. There is no other way to get a hook.

Another useful tool associated with the Broadcast mission is the Korek amulet, which allows you to endlessly repair melee weapons. We talked about it in more detail in a separate guide.

How to get a paraglider in Dying Light 2

The paraglider allows you to fly around the game's open world. To fly, you need to jump off the roof or take off on the air current. In doing so, you will spend stamina, but you can replenish it by flying over the ventilation shafts. Thanks to them, you will fly even higher.

You will receive a paraglider in the course of the story mission "A Place I Call Home", during the restoration of power supply. It will open around the seventh hour of the game. At the same time, you will be taught how to use this device.

How to get a bow in Dying Light 2

The advantage of the bow over melee weapons is obvious - it allows you to fight at a safe distance. In addition, you do not need to repair it, because it will never break. The main thing is to craft arrows in a timely manner.

You will receive the first such weapon in the course of completing the "Flaring" mission. Immediately after its completion, you will find a bow and drawings for various types of arrows in your inventory. From now on, you can craft them yourself or find them in the game's open world. To do this, we recommend that you read a separate guide to creating arrows.

You will receive a more advanced bow called the Paperclip as you progress through the Horseshoe (aka Horseshoe) quest. Enter the room where you need to find a pair of shoes and look on the shelf opposite the bed. It will have a bow on it.

In addition, bows can be found in the open world of the game or bought from merchants. One of the best long-range guns in the game is located at the Newfoundland military radio station, which is outside the city. Getting here is easy, but finding a bow is more difficult. To do this, you need to climb the third radio tower, from which you can move to the main antenna. Here lie the unique bow "Nails".

How to get a crossbow in Dying Light 2

The crossbow is the best-ranged weapon in Dying Light 2. Its main advantage over the bow is its high rate of fire. The only way to get a crossbow is to reach reputation level 4 with the Peacekeepers. To do this, you need to transfer seven different buildings to this faction. We talked more about capturing objects and factions in this guide.
