How to find a shovel and dig a grave in Sons of the Forest - where to find scuba gear and a rope launcher

 

Having dealt with the GPS in the game Sons of the Forest, you will see a map with many markers. Today we will tell you how to find a shovel and dig a grave with a purple marker, and where to find a scuba gear and a rope launcher.

In order to dig graves, you will need a shovel, which is located in a cave with many underwater tunnels. Therefore, you will first need to find a Zipline Gun and a rebreather.

How to find scuba

Scuba gear can be found in a cave near the crash site of your helicopter. Head to the northwest side of the beach and walk along the shore until you find some yellow barrels scattered on the ground. The cave is linear, it will be difficult to get lost. You will meet several groups of mutants, which are very difficult to get around.

For reference, you can take a few life jackets. Turn left after them. Scuba gear will lie in a small room in the form of a backpack. When you get into the water, the character will automatically put it on. Replenishing oxygen is problematic, so use the item only when necessary.

If you do not want to waste oxygen in the tank, you can open the inventory and remove the scuba gear. To do this, simply move the mouse cursor over it and click on the specified button.

How to find a rope launcher

The cable launcher, like many useful items, is located in the cave. Look for it in the western part of the map, relatively close to the cave with a shovel. The cave is long, but not too dangerous compared to other dungeons. Keep to the left until you find a suitcase with a cable launcher.

How to find a shovel

To find the shovel, you need to enter the cave system to the west of the snowy mountain in the center of the map. The dungeon can be found by following along the bank of the stream. Outside there will be three dead bodies on spikes. If you come here right after the scuba cave, just follow the river to the south. Or you can refer to the screenshot above. The desired cave is located northeast of the current position of the character.

The cave is quite large and complex. Make sure you have enough food and water, resources to build a tent, and ammo.

Light your way and go forward until you reach a cliff. Don't jump down! Instead, look up and find the cable. Use the rope thrower to get to the other side. Here you need to use scuba gear to swim underground.

When you surface, you will have to fight the mutants nearby. Then keep moving forward until you reach a steep slope that you need to slide down. At the first light source, you can find medicines and some useful materials. Next, go through several especially "busy" rooms. The path is linear, but don't forget to watch out for the enemies. They are easy to defeat as long as they don't surround you.

A little further you will find several light sources - follow them forward. The last dive is coming, after which there will be a small cave with the corpse of a worker at the edge of the cliff. Examine the corpse and take the shovel.

How to dig a grave

In order to dig the grave, you will need to approach the purple marker on the map (the location is indicated in the screenshot above). As you approach it, your GPS will start beeping. When you are in the right place, the shovel marker will indicate exactly which area to dig. Then equip a shovel and press LMB.

As a reward, you can get a lot of different resources, including a shotgun and a GPS tracker. The shovel will also come in handy for finding story keycards and other items. Therefore, the sooner you get it, the sooner you can solve new puzzles.
