Hogwarts Legacy has plenty of quests to find, especially in the town of Hogsmeade, but there's a PlayStation-exclusive quest that even allows you to open your own shop. That's right, if you want the benefits resulting from having your own shop - which allows you to get a 10% boost on the sale value of your equipment - you should play on PS5, otherwise, you won't be able to.
It's a shame that Xbox and PC players have to miss out on this opportunity because Hogsmeade's Haunted Shop is an interesting quest. The mission starts out quite simple, but you'll quickly find yourself in a cursed and very long dungeon, with some jumpscare that seems to be inspired by the latest Resident Evil.
Easily one of the best quests and dungeons in Hogwarts Legacy, and again, it's a shame that this is all a PlayStation exclusive. In this guide, we will tell you how to start the mission and what rewards you can expect.

HOW TO START THE HOGSMEADE HAUNTED SHOP QUEST
To be crystal clear: This mission is only available on the PS5 version of the game right now. It remains to be seen if or when it will also arrive on PS4, or on the other versions of Hogwarts Legacy. To start Hogsmeade's Haunted Shop, travel to Hogsmeade during the winter. You'll see a quest on the east side of the city on your map – it's the home of the elf Penny.
Basically, Penny runs the store here, but she needs a new tenant. Go to Cassandra Moon to buy the shop – despite all this chatter about buying stuff, you won't really have to part with your gold pieces as part of this mission. Cassandra will require you to retrieve her partner husband's possessions from a chest in the back of the shop and you will need to do so.
Go back to the shop and Penny will let you in. You'll need to use Reparo on several items within the shop. Once you do, go back to the back room and open the chest, and you'll be sucked inside. That's where the dungeon begins. From here you can expect at least six puzzles and two boss fights, so yes, this is a particularly substantial mission.

Once you get rid of Cassandra, you can go back to Penny and give her a hat, making her a free elf if you want. Regardless, she will continue to work with you. You can also choose the name of the shop: whatever you want will do. After all this, you can sell your excess equipment to the shop for a 10% bonus compared to other shops. It was worth it, right?
