How to unlock all 3 secrets of Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy

The three main secrets of Hogwarts castle and how to solve puzzles

Hogwarts Legacy gives you the opportunity to explore Hogwarts by allowing your created student to enter almost every area of the school (yes, with the exception of the Chamber of Secrets). Sooner or later it will be possible to get to all locations. It will take some time to get all the necessary tools (mostly spells) and access to all locked doors and secret rooms.

On the other hand, there are several secret locations (three in total) that will require you to solve non-standard puzzles to gain access to them. If you look in the "Trials" section of your guide, under the "Research" tab, you will find three secrets of Hogwarts. For each secret you discover, you will receive a special hero customization costume. Add to that the legendary chests and regular containers that you will find by gaining access to three secret rooms.

In addition, you will have to wait for winter to unlock all the secrets, but after arriving at the school you will be able to solve at least one riddle.

Secret #1: Inner Bridge (Viaduct)

Go to the viaduct courtyard in the Great Hall. There is a bridge below. In four different corners of this bridge, you can see different symbols. To solve the puzzle, use the Incendio spell or any fire magic to ignite the braziers. Once all four braziers are lit, you can interact with each one - turn to change the displayed Roman numeral. Each symbol is associated with the number I, II, III, IV. Take a look at the round metal disk with the image in front of the bridge. It is embedded in the ground. The bronze plate indicates which character is associated with each Roman numeral.

The solution is simple: stand at the double doors to the library annex and look at the bridge. Arrange the numbers as follows:

Near Left Brazier - IV
Near Right Brazier - II
Far Rear Brazier - I
Far Right Brazier - III

Enter the correct numbers for each brazier and a hatch will open on the bridge. At the bottom you will find two chests with collectibles and one legendary chest.

Secret #2: The South Wing Pendulum

The second secret is in the upper levels of the South Wing. You will need the spell "Alohomora", which is taught by Glavid Moon during the main quest "The Warden's Complaints about the Moon". The puzzle is in the room with the mechanisms of the giant clock tower.

Climb down until you find a huge pendulum swinging between four symbols. Let's number them from "1" to "4". Each symbol is associated with a door in the clock tower area. The doors are closed with a metal grate - the grate will open only when the pendulum passes the correct symbol.

To open the four doors, use the Glacius spell on the pendulum when it is over one of the four symbols. Then visit the opened room. There are four rooms that you can unlock to find treasure. If you want the pendulum to move again, use Incendio.

Room #1: at the very bottom of the clock tower, in the courtyard where the flying flame is located.
Room #2: one level above the ground floor. You can freeze the pendulum right from here.
Room #3: On the right side of the pendulum itself on the upper level. You will most likely open this door first.
Room #4: On the stairwell leading from the previous room.

Visit all four rooms for the secret to count.

Secret number 3: the access key from the director's room

To reveal this secret, you need to unlock the third level of Alohomora, which will allow you to open the corresponding locks. To do this, you need to find 22 Demimask Moons, which we talked about in a separate guide. You will be able to get into this office during the winter season when you go there as part of the third storyline challenge, Niov Fitzgerald. The director's office is located at the top of the main staircase, above the trophy room.

Unlock the door to the left of the entrance to get to the outer passage. The path leads up to another locked door. Unlock it to access a small cabinet. Entering this room will unlock the "Room with a View" achievement. Take the access key from the table, then go back down to the headmaster's office entrance. Pay attention to the door with a massive lock. Opening this door will complete the challenge of finding all the secrets of Hogwarts.
