How to get access to the Flying Hippogryph and Ground Mount Dromarog
The broom isn't the only way to get around the world of Hogwarts Legacy. As you progress through the game, you can also unlock two mounts - flying and ground. Both have unique properties, so I decided to dedicate a separate guide to them. Both magical creatures that have yet to be tamed are unique in their own way. For example, a ground mount will allow you to literally crush enemies and destroy obstacles while flying on a hippogriff by the time it is unlocked will look much more impressive than moving on a broomstick.
As with the broom, you can summon the mount at any time if you are outside of the zone where the use of "mounts" is prohibited. To do this, hold down the TAB key and press "1", "2", and "3" to make a broom, hippogriff or dromahorn appear. By holding the B key, you will be able to get off your mount or broom.
Hippogriff (flying mount)
How to unlock: Complete the main story quest "The High Fortress", which will become available in the fall (the second season in the game, after the first challenge of the keepers of ancient magic).
The flying mount essentially functions similarly to the magic broom. You can only fly the Hippogryph in permitted areas. It is also possible to fly the Thestral, but it can only be obtained as a bonus.
Dromarog (ground mount)
How to unlock: Complete the Trial of San Bacar story mission during the game's winter period. This will happen towards the end of the storyline!
Dromarog is a giant sea creature that lives on the shore. It moves on the ground but can attack, dealing significant damage to enemies or destroying barriers. It is the only mount that can be used in combat.
Dromarog is huge and can single-handedly wipe out enemy camps. During his charged attack, you deal huge damage to targets, although you can crash without it, but in this case, the damage will be less significant.
