The Alohomora is a very useful charm in Hogwarts Legacy. Using it is somewhat complicated, and here we want to explain what you must do to make it work and how to improve it.
Among the many spells available in Hogwarts Legacy we can get the Alohomora, which allows you to open the many locks that are both in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade and other locations on the world map. However, you may have trouble using and improving it. In this section, we will explain how to do both.
- The Alohomora is obtained as part of the story, during the main quest The Warden's Lunar Lament.
- No need to equip it, just approach the lock and interact with it to activate it.
- You will be able to improve the Alohomora by finding demiguise statues.
How is Alohomora used?
When you use the Alohomora on a lock, a minigame will open in which you have to manage to activate some dials. These are the upper right center dial and the lower right dial:
First, move one of the two dials. For example, dial 1, the green one. You must move the spark very slowly, in circles, until you see that there is a green spark on the dial and it starts to turn. Remember the position, it is the correct position of the wheel to open the lock.
Now do the same with the other dial, turning very slowly until you see the red spark appear on dial 2 and it starts to turn. Remember your position.
You already know where the two dials go, now you have to place the two dials at the same time and in the correct position. Hold the position for a few seconds to open the lock.
How to improve Alohomora
The Alohomora is used by completing The Man in the Moons, giving Moon the demiguise statues scattered around the map.
- When you deliver 9 demiguise statues you will get the Alohomora II.
- When you deliver another 13 demiguise statues (not counting the previous 9) you will get the Alohomora III.
- There are no more levels of Alohomora, getting the rest of the statues is a mere question of completion.
